Charon ushers you across the river Acheron, and you find yourself upon the brink of grief's abysmal valley. You are in Limbo, a place of sorrow without torment. You encounter a seven-walled castle, and within those walls you find rolling fresh meadows illuminated by the light of reason, whereabout many shades dwell. These are the virtuous pagans, the great philosophers and authors, unbaptised children, and others unfit to enter the kingdom of heaven. You share company with Caesar, Homer, Virgil, Socrates, and Aristotle. There is no punishment here, and the atmosphere is peaceful, yet sad.

How DK got belted in exams, got sick, and got a project...
So really after a long time again Im daring to write something in this. All these days onething or the other kept me pre-occupied. Somany things happened.
I dont know when I prepared so seriously for my exams previously...but asusually got ______.
I casually applied for a project at eerc. After which I prayed I shouldnt get it...(I had plans for other things). But I was picked before my prayers reached heaven. Now Im at hyd doin what exactly a civil engineer should do.
Of course we read subjects and get distinctions...the reality beckons when u enter the field.
Till now I did some analysis part and design which made me completely(somewhat) aware of what civil engg is... and how much effort goes into really developing something. Now that we have somany softwares It has become easy...but earlier when there were none...! I just cant imagine how much patience they had in analysing and designing.
Back when I was preparing for exams in our college R.R(reading room) a funny thing happened..
Our exam starts at 2pm. I usually studied at RR in mornings. I would got to a corner at sit there alone. After sometime two people came and sat beside me. I studied for about 2 hrs and started feeling bored. I was looking in all directions and singing songs in myself. I looked at them casually the other guy also looked at me instantly...I suddenly turned my head and pretended as if studying.
After sometime he turns my side and says "sorry dude...really sorry for disturbing you".
I was struck at that...I didnt expect that. So when I looked at them they felt that they r disturbing me...what they didnt know is that I was singing and ready to go...
Dont consider the title...I just put "got sick" to follow the flow....:)

Close Encounter of the Supernatural kind.
Hi guys…back after a very long time. I had a disastrous midsem and flew home to enjoy in the name of INCIDENT—our college cultural festival. Feeling better now.
After midsem my mind was really mad and I even thought of leaving studies for some work. There’s something at the back of my mind which tells me that Im faking engineering….I dunno but Im sure that if Im faking then everybody else is…of course there are always exceptions. Leaving aside studies…Im feeling something I shouldn’t feel. May be my future blogs will speak about that!
The other day I was very tired and went alone for a walk…I sat near our basket ball court. Suddenly I felt everything disappearing infront of me or I lost my eyesight for some time. Don’t know what really happened but I spoke to someone who named himself as god… in that moment of darkness. Id fear rather than have faith in god..so I continued our conversation. He told me that I can pose any number of questions unless they become too self-centered and until he gets bored. Does god really get bored?…depends on me.
Me : why did u come to me if there are somany people out there suffering more than me?
God : Ok…you are really kind. Im leaving.
Me in my mind…devi you are a loser!!!
Me : Im sorry I was just trying to be global-centered…read it as “not self centered”.
God : fine…how is your life?
Me : I tried everything else except suicide..after-all it is you who decide everything.
God : No Im not…It is you humans who make ur destiny.
I didnt want to take chances with him…I agreed with him.
Me : Im feeling something…I don’t know what im feeling..Im confused Im everything.
God : It happens to everyone just be bold and brave…
Huh did he come all the way to tell me that crap..don’t I know.
Me : How is my future?
God: If I tell you that then whats the point in living…u should experience everything in life. “Life is all about smart management.”
I bet he copied it from one of those personality development shit.
Me : And for those who cant manage life smartly…?
God : Copy it from someone who does it..like you do in paper presentations!
Me : If I copy it then what is the difference between me and him ?
God : The difference is that of a fish in a pond and a fish in an acquarium…
I didn’t understand him a bit…may be that’s why he is called God !
Me : what will be my CGPA in this sem?…I saw the mercury in “self-centered” thermometer rising high..and changed the question..
Me : Will India win the series against England? (Yo! Im patriotic)
God : It’s none of your business.
Me : ???
Me : By this time I think my readers will get bored..
God : Im still not.
God : Don’t expect anything..do everything you are expected to do in time. In positive sense.
Now I started feeling bored.
Me : So what would you do in your free time?
God : I play monopoly.
Me : Are you He or She?
God : whatever you think..
Aaha..he(I dunno may be he/she) is just like our political leaders.
Me : When will India become a corruption free country?
God : It’s upto you…you make your country.
Gosh! he is really a politician.
God: (yawning) you are making me bored…
Oh my GOD… I should be careful.
So lets talk abt entertainment..
Me: Will Aishwarya Rai marry Abhishek bachan?
God : depends…
Hmmmmmmm on what…salman khan?
Me : When will SRK stop doing romantic films and start doing something useful ?
God : Are you crazy..he wont stop. Moreover I like him in such roles.
Naaaaaaay you shouldn’t always believe in God.
Me : Mallika Sherawat…(I was just starting)
God : Stop the nonsense.
Ooooooooh…
Me : Who would win maximum number of Oscars this time?
God : Im keeping my fingers crossed about that!!!
God : It’s getting late for me… only two more. (may be he likes even numbers)
Me : Why don’t you appear before me ?
God : You don’t deserve to see me…
That made me a lil bit sad…
The last one…
Me : When will Emraan Hashmi stop kissing?
He waited for a long time and gave me this???
From the entire conversation I learnt that :
Especially things like Emraan hashmi.
I began to wonder How I can make myself deserving to see God.
Bye for now.

Cheat code 169
Cheat code 169
Rating: 3.5/5
Punchline: You can cheat an IIT
Genre: Drama
Type: Inspired by a similar event at Chennai
Banner: Perfect Productions
Cast: Three girls and one guy...
Story (Concept): Unknown
Dialogues: U get in cheap C class flicks
Fights:
Screenplay & Direction: Story writer
Producer: NITK with the collaboration of an Unknown
Release Date: U don’t have the luck.
Story
This is the story of three girls and a guy who want to do something great in their lives using the hardwork and expertise of others. The foursome are not the best of friends but are brought under one roof when the festival comes. They put all their efforts to destroy the spirit of engineering… while the ass kicked dumbos over there look in awe of them. The rest is all about how manage to make everyone jack-asses…without being caught.
Artists Performance
The girls are exceptional in their roles and possess good histrionics. Though this cannot be rated as their career best…still it counts. The characterization of the guy is that of a very intelligent or may be a genius in the making… without any common sense. The scene where the four give an interview to a local Newspaper is uncanny and I think these guys are going to give the
Technical departments
The entire concept and program has been given by professional so I better not make any comments on it.
Now it’s my turf… The entire event has been reduced to a farce. It’s like You know the climax and still you are watching the movie hoping you would be wrong. No luck there.
The first half is not impressive though entertaining. The second half is just spectacular. If you don’t have enough worries and just want to see the bitterness of life this is a play to watch.
Advice to the cast- By winning…you can merely become winsome.
You cannot be ACHIEVERS.
You are like a snake without fangs.
Ok…Ok… Don’t get mad at me. I think you can understand that the above review is a desperate attempt to vent my frustration. In my previous blog I wrote about truthfulness. I happened to participate in an event. One team won by the effort of someone else and the other team fought against the home teams and won in a respectable manner. I always wanted to be true to myself and wanted to know nothing but the truth. Now I got to know that truth is stranger than fiction… and truth is so bitter that you don’t crave for it anymore.
One more thing I wanted to know is anyone really reading my blogs (except my father)!!! If so please post

Is this true..
| Your Brain's Pattern |
Structured and organized, you have a knack for thinking clearly. You are very logical - and you don't let your thoughts get polluted with emotions. And while your thoughts are pretty serious, they're anything from boring. It's minds like yours that have built the great cities of the world! |
Not at all true..I checked out every pattern and put this.
coming to the aspect of trueness or frankness...How many of us are really frank and always speak the truth?...just think about it. Many of us lie(either a silly one or for fun) atleast once in a day. The other day I was watchin one of my friends' playing computer games. His Dad called him and he straight away told him that he was studying and asked him not to disturb him!!! even without the slightest stutter. May be he got used to such calls. Not only him many of us do the same. Another aspect is preparing Resume and writing the statement of purposes while applying through GRE. If all the candidates give their details honestly may be some 65% will pass through(my opinion). So we all have to lie at one or the other time in our life. But it will be better if we avoid lying for cheap things.

How Weird a Dream Could Be…
From the past two-three days I have been sleeping around 3 AM.
Yesterday night I felt very tired (inspite of me sleeping all day) and lay down around 9pm. I was more than terrified after I woke up at 1am.
I had a very weird dream.
I warn you to go ahead only if u think u can waste 5min.
CAUTION: spoilers ahead for the forthcoming movie
“Harrypotter and the Life-sized Frog”.
I am walking towards Final Block (where I usually spend most of my time)… from some distance I m seeing two persons chatting outside and near the entrance there is something which looked like a White dog. But to my astonishment it turned out to be a WHITE TIGER!!! (How the hell?..there is not even a zoo nearby). I halted at once and kept watching it from a distance… Strangely it was behaving like a dog! Scratching with its hind leg and licking leftout icecream on plates scattered around (Of course we get icecream in mess). Deep down I was scared but not showing any signs of it. The Tiger-Dog is slowly coming towards me… I turned pale and was about to faint..Suddenly I did a whooooooosh, chu chu and the Dog-tiger ran away from me(Expect miracles baby!).
After that I had lunch in mess and was returning still there are these
two persons chatting. One was a famous movie director KV(ofcourse telugu)
and the other was my Dad’s colleague. I somehow got into a scuffle with
my Dad’s colleague and KV tried to persuade me. I cooled down and in
the next frame Me and KV were walking down the beach near our college
and discussing the current fate of our film industry(Now did I tell u
I am a movie freak!). All of a sudden we saw something like a tsunami..
God’s grace It’s not a tsunami but waves enough to washout us.
I sneaked into a cyclone shelter nearby
(What kind of an engineer would build one on a beach? Huh!).
Obviously I was able to survive that.
Next frame… I was on a double decker bus being Kidnapped by a Gang.
They took me to their den. No prizes for guessing their Boss. It’s KV!!!!
I came to know that the Tiger-Dog and mini-Tsunami are his Setups
for kidnapping me. (The former I could atleast accept but the latter! naaah).
Now why did he Kidnap me?
He took me to a tank..yes a very large tank of water(green) which one
could seethrough.
I saw giant statues of Frogs arranged alternatively as on a Chessboard
on the bottom of tank. Now he put one of his men half-submerged into
the tank. A frog the size of a school bag(Now that’s what is called creative
comparison), came and bite off his leg.(I know you can’t take this anymore.:) ).
My Task is to survive in that Tank for 30min. He lowered me into the tank.
I managed 10min. Next thing I remember is I pulled a rope which
raised an alarm and guess what??? The cops came and took KV and his
gang into custody. What an ending..exactly like a classic telugu movie.
At once I woke up and felt my heart(or brain) screaming “Let me out..
you Idiot”.
I saw the clock it was 1 am.
My dream…….has the running length of a movie.
Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you earlier.
Moral of the Dream: I don’t even have the solace of a GF even in
my dream-movie. what a pity!

Myself

For all of you who are thinking who am I..
Basically I m from a small town on the banks of river Godavari..Rajahmundry. I had enjoyed my childhood with my best friends there and did schooling in SKVT. Still a favourite of mine. Now after a series of fateful events(One of those being my stay at Gowtham gudavalli) Im here at NITK surathkal in karnataka. I m a person who doesn't like to talk much. But im like an open book for my best friends. I think may be one must spend a lot of time with me to understand me. I believe that laughing is the best thing in life, and frequently pondering over how beautiful life is.I see a lot of movies ... but a selected lot.One of my passions is music.Anything that makes u feel pleasant is music for me, be it western or classical. Each form has it's own style. My parents are my inspiration. I have seen many people saying a famous political leader or a movie celebrity or sports person as their role model. But I strongly think that parents are the ones who really shape the lives of individuals. I think we know more about our parents than we know about the celebrities or politicians. My goal in life is to know the difference between Success and Values and if possible do my bit to improve society.
